Fall Favorites

This fall couldn't have come at the perfect time, although weather is still warm (come on California, get with the program). The cool, crisp fresh air and going for morning walks in the fog, has got to be a favorite of mine.  Last fall, I would take Sophia running or walking and the weather was always ahhhmazing! She would fall asleep in the jogger and I would bundle her up in a warm blanket and enjoy the outdoors. Cant wait to do that again this year. Thinking back at how cute her little fall outfits were, I had to do a little fall favorites for toddlers. And this kind of weather, has got me finding some of the most adorable little sweatshirts ever!

Now if only it would cool down so I can actually enjoy some warm tea or maybe even coffee.

Goodbye Summer

Super excited to say goodbye to the summer time, and hello to the fall! The fall and winter are my absolute favorite seasons. Even though the weather is still crappy here in southern Cali, i'm looking forward to much cooler weather so that I can bundle myself up in some booties, scarfs and sweatshirts! Oh yes, and maybe even treat myself to a nice warm pumpkin spiced latte, ya feel me?! I put together a fall bucket list for you all and a little photo recap from our summer. This summer was definitely one of the best. And next summer, is going to be even BETTER and I can't wait to show you all what we've been "working" on!

What are you looking forward to this fall?

Date Night

It's Mondayy! For most of you, this day absolutely sucks. But a Monday for us is just like any other day! Sometimes a Monday is our Friday (if that didn't confuse you enough). This past "weekend" I had to go for a dress fitting since I'm in a wedding this coming November. I'm so excited to be apart of this special day for my cousin and his beautiful bride-to-be.
I had also went over to my moms work since I was in her area to get a much needed hair wash since she's a hair stylist. And plus, this momma hardly gets any special treatments like a hair wash where I can relax and close my eyes.. It was that amazing.
Later on that night, the hubs and I got dressed and went out since my sister was watching Sophia. Can you say DATE NIGHT! Even though it was our very close friends wedding, any time alone with him-baby free-is a date night to me..
Come Sunday we snuggled up in bed, and went to the local fair in our town. My hubs was working there so we went by to take him some lemonade from In-n-Out, got a slushy made of tamarindo, and got to take home a huge stuffed animal that a booth owner just wanted to gift to Sophia. It was the cutest thing. And although I wasn't prepared to have a stuffed animal in my hand, an almost two year old running around because I forgot her stroller #MomFail and a tamarindo raspado in the other hand with the heat at the fair- it lasted about a good 20 minutes.
But nothing beats being able to nap with my princess whenever I feel like it on any day of the week. One of the up's of being a stay-at-home momma. Can I get an amen to one child (for now) and being able to nap with that one child whenever?! Haha

 How was your weekend!?

Top Knot Kind Of Day

A little casual outing with the family called for black on black and a light jean top. And how stinkin cute does my babe look?! The rain came by surprise and us California's definitely needed it with this drought. Praying we get tons of rain this winter. Stay tuned for a fall bucket list the next few days.

The fall/winter is my favorite time of year, and I CAN NOT WAIT to get all bundled up in scarfs, boots, and beanies! Who's with me on that?! Below is the photo I posted on Instagram and couldn't resist sharing. The sun wasn't blaring down on us, and the rain was just about to pour. Our Weekend

Happy Monday to all! I am so excited about being back in action with my blog, i've missed it so much being busy with work and life in general. And I can't wait to update you on my life lately, and how things are going to be changing for us in a great way (has a lot to do with our backyard!)! And also being back in action with outfit post, videos, and just lifestyle blabbing- since it's what I do best. What would you all love to see? Some fall inspirations? More recipes? Day in the life? Let me know!
But for now, here is a little recap of our weekend and a few days prior because let's be real, I didn't take many photos this weekend besides Sophia being in the bath tub. Haha.
We had a blast at the fair with some of our family members, I conquered my fears of a ferris wheel (blah), we also celebrated my littlest sister's 7th birthday and ended it with a selfie stick selfie of the whole fam! Then just last night I started reminiscing on how fast Sophia is growing, and how itty bitty she was just a few weeks old in this last photo which I shared on Instagram.. Time just flies by and it's so bittersweet.

Happy Monday!

Anniversary Date |year 3|

Hello all! And happy weekend! I wanted to share with you my trip to Santa Barbara with my hubs! It was our 3 year wedding anniversary, and we ( I ) couldn't help but want to get away with him before we start popping out more babies! We've never been to Santa Barbara before, so it was our first time being able to explore all the ins and outs of it.
We went for one night and stayed at the beautiful Marriott Hotel in Goleta, which was just 15 minutes shy of Santa Barbara. Goleta was beautiful and quiet and we loved that didn't feel so rushed and hurried with traffic as if we were to have stayed in the heart of SB.
On the first day there we went straight to check in our hotel and grabbed breakfast at this place called Domingos Cafe. I had the chilie verde con carne, and the hubs had French toast with eggs and bacon- yum! We then went off to explore Santa Barbara and looked at all the beautiful architecture. The buildings were gorgeous and rustic white with high roofs! Ah, breathtaking.
We then ate and ate and ate so much for the two days, took advantage of sleeping in since grandma (nene) was watching Sophia and headed to the beach for a bike ride together. It was definitely worth the trip.
Happy anniversary honey bunny! I love you!

The "MOM" Hairdo

About a year after I had Sophia, I came to the realization that I had absolutely NO time to get ready-showering or even having to take a quick pee break was out of the question. So I needed a change, drastically and chopped hair off. My hair was so long and beautiful while I was pregnant. I had that pregnancy thick,  healthy shiny hair and then Sophia was born and my hair went to crap. Dead, dry, thin and old.. A new do was in the mix for me, and I couldn't thank my mom enough for making me feel so beautiful with the new haircut. So here are a few of my favorite hair styles for shoulder length hair. It's so quick and easy for me to get ready now. a few curls here and there, and bam- Ready To Go!
The straight haired girl, and the curly haired lady. I love both! And both are so easy and quick to do. It takes me about 7-10 minutes to do my hair.

What's your favorite hair do? Do you prefer long or short hair? Happy Friday!
