Video: Easy Curls On Short Hair

I wanted to give you all a quick and easy hair tutorial for short hair like mine. I also wanted to add that before you put any heat to your hair, you want to make sure you put some kind of heat protectant spray to it. Less damaging to your hair. I hope you enjoy this video!!! My product links will be posted below on my video, and also here. Yay for making more videos on my YouTube Channel! xoxo

Weekending it

Our weekends have been filled with so much fun lately. Am I the only one that gets it the worst? You know, those things we call allergies.. I mean seriously, I wake up in the morning sneezing with watery eyeballs, and survive off of Allegra. I can be outdoors all day with Sophia if my allergies didn't kill me every time. We finally got a key to our local park, and I just couldn't wait to take Sophia so she can run around and let some energy out.. Seeing her play alone at times made me a little sad, so I try to entertain her as much as I can, even though I'm sure I weird her out with my squeaky mom voice as I talk and play with her.. A little brother or sister is exactly what she needs, and our family is so ready for it to grow with 2 extra little feet. I've been dying to get pregnant again since Sophia hit 6 months, which was about 11 months ago. C and I want a big family, so we gotta get the train moving before I'm 50 with a newborn. Totally kidding. I had the EASIEST pregnancy with Sophia. No pregnancy symptoms at all, besides the growing belly. And I'm anxious for that experience again. Although I do know, not all pregnancies are alike.
We also started potty training this weekend! Can you say exhausting 10 times fast? I can't believe how much work is put into potty training for us parents. It's so hard and you definitely need to have a whole lot of patience. Do you have any potty training techniques or advice for me? I'd love to hear how you all did it with your littles..

A couple girlfriends and I went to a painting class where you dress the part and they teach you how to paint on a canvas while sipping on wine! Um, yes! Especially after a couple days of potty training, this mama needed a little break.
And this is supposed to be an elephant lol, let's just say that a few bottles of wine while painting didn't go so well for us… haha

Hope you had a great weekend and Happy Monday!

Spring Wish List Under $75

*Shop some of my favorites above for this spring!*
Spring has been so good to us in LA these past few days. Besides the allergies of course. This Spring is going to fly right before our eyes and summer will soon make its appearance. Which means lots of dresses, shorts, tanks and flip-flops! I am loving this warmer weather with a little breeze. Here are a few of my wish list for spring, and each for under $75! Such a steal.
 ----------------------------------
I almost forgot to add.. I'm in the process of changing my blog name. Little Mommy Nest will always have my heart, and i'll always love it, but I'm thinking of changing it up to something short and sweet. Maybe even something with my name thrown in. I'm leaning more towards the fashion/beauty and lifestyle side of blogs but also having my YouTube channel incorporated in it, which can include so much more variation as far as being a wife/mommy, style and everything in between. So, stay tuned for my new brand name! I am so excited with all these ideas i've come up with so far. xoxo

Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!

Our "Weekend"

I almost forgot what it was like to have some part of the weekends off… C's schedule finally changed this month, and we are going in full force with every weekend booked! We've got birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and even Disneyland on our list of to do's. This weekend we got to see some of our much needed family. Being a little over an hour and a half away from friends and family makes things hard to leave the house sometimes.

We had a BBQ and painting "party" at our neighbors which was a blast! Got to make a canvas for Sophia's playroom.

A close friend's daughter turned 6, so we went to her fun birthday party which meant catching up with lots of friends. Then a few of us went to Santa Monica beach, had lunch and then walked to see the weirdos in Venice beach with our kids the next day. A day I will never forget haha

It was definitely a blast this 'weekend'. Happy Hump Day!

Spring Fun

This spring has probably been one of my favorites so far. I love how the weather is warm enough to wear shorts, yet cool to wear a zip up at night. It's been perfect for outdoor play with the neighbors and a few cold ones. Painting, making amazing treats and still being able to cuddle up on the couch at the end of the day to watch some of our favorite television shows as a family.
Sophia is growing up so fast, and right before our eyes she won't want to cuddle, or need me as much anymore, so I'm trying to soak up all the cuddles and love as much as I can. Since I tend to be such a homebody most of the day, I've been making more of an effort to spend time outdoors with Sophia and having much needed playdates with a few of her friends. It's definitely been helping me with keeping in touch with my momma friends, and also letting Sophia get some energy out.

And in case you're wanting to make a quick and easy snack, I found a few on my Pinterest that I've been dying to try and am so glad I did.. I loved this one, this one, and this one but decided to make my own. It's so yummy and one popcorn bag is more than enough for this recipe.

 Ingredients:
-1 bag of popcorn (none flavored, meaning no butter)
-1 bag of white and pink chocolate candy melts
-1 bag of pretzel sticks
-1 bag of chocolate mini eggs
-1 bag of mini marshmallows

Directions:
-Cook popcorn according to package and place all ingredients EXCEPT for chocolate candy melts, into a large bowl and toss together.
-Line a cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper and lay out the whole popcorn mixture. I had to use two cookie sheets.
-Melt the white and the pink candy melts according to package in two separate bowls and gently drizzle the popcorn mixture with both candies.
-Dry and cool for 10-15 minutes, then break apart and place them in a bowl.

Let me know if you try this! It's so easy and soooo good.
