Puree Sweet Potato

Here is how I made sweet potato for Sophia. It was so easy and she absolutely loved it.

First I bought organic sweet potatoes.
I washed them very well.
Preheated my oven to 425 and baked for 45-50 minutes. Until soft when pierced with a fork.
(I baked 5 potatoes.)

I peeled all the potatoes once slightly cooled.

Next, I chopped them up and added them to the food processor with 1/4 Cup of water.

You may add more or less water till you get the perfect consistency for your baby.

I added them to a freezer ice cube tray.
Once frozen, I grabbed a freezer bag and put the name and expiration date on it.
You can freeze baby food for about 3-4 months.

I have a full link on different baby food ideas that you can find here also.
All having 5 steps or less! Super easy homemade organic baby food.

Hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day, celebrating the lives of our heroes.
We had a great weekend of relaxing at home on Friday.
A beach trip was part of the weekend plans,
but we decided to visit an aunt in Long Beach instead.

Which was much more entertaining and fun.
Then Monday our best friends came over and grilled some steaks,
took some pictures of my little princess,
and ended the night by the fire pit with some ice cold beers…

These are the days.

Love, Bianca

My Inner "Sexy"

It's been 6 months since having Sophia.

And let me just say, that my inner sexy is gone.
To me it is anyway.

It's a messy, dirty full time job.

I used to love getting dressed for the day, putting on my makeup,
getting mani/pedi's with a Starbucks in hand.
But now, it takes me half a day to shower, and decently do my hair.
90% of the time, it's up in a pony and I'm in my pajamas
with smeared mascara under my eyes because I didn't wash it good enough the
night before.

Oh motherhood.
Constantly on the floor, watching
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in a big t-shirt with wet milk circles on my boobs.
Changing dirty diapers, managing your "free break" during nap times-
(which always seem to go by way to fast).
And "free break" meaning catching up on laundry,
trying to squeeze in a workout, eating, or using the restroom.

It's the best job though, it really is!
I can't see myself doing anything else but being at home, everyday with my princess. It's being a full time mom.All these days just fly by, and if I can do it everyday
and she stay this little forever, I'd do it for the rest of my life.

Before, when it was just C and I, we would go out on dates,

get dressed up to go dancing or dinner..
Coming home to cuddle and watching a movie..
But, its so hard for the old me to come out and play.
Cuddling now, is while we are in bed, passed out, exhausted from the day.
And trying to be sexy to my husband like that is just not happening..

Where is the balance? Does motherhood have a whole new meaning to
Is there actually a sexy anymore? Or is it called something else?
I know my C loves the way I look now, but I just wanna look and
feel more sexier for my man..

-All you mommas, how did you find your femininity again? Where is the balance on being "yourself" and being a momma?? What do you do to make you feel sexy? Feed back would be grately appreciated.

Six Months With Sophia

I decided to make a half birthday cake for her.. I mean, come on now, she is half a year old! So we did a half birthday "cake smash" for her half birthday! I am so in love with this little baby..

Sophia update

Weight: Haven't got her weighed yet.. But when we do I'll update this part for sure! She's got to be close to 20 lbs

Sleep: She is still up every 3-5 hours.. She did sleep for 8 hours straight two nights ago.. What a tease.

Eating: She is eating her solids now. Cereal first thing in the morning, nursing, and also fruits and veggies! She loves everything we've giving her so far.. Besides green beans. Blah

Diapers: She is now in size 3 diapers.. A tad on the big side.. But they seem to be really comfortable on her right now.

Clothing: She is getting into 6 month clothing.. It was a sad day for me to put her 3 month clothing away.. :(

Mood: She is such a happy baby it's unbelievable sometimes.. I'm totally setting myself up for baby number 2 though.. That ones gonna be bad.. I already know it.. Lol

Loves:  She loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Smiles every time it comes on.. Also, loves to take baths before bed.. She just learned how to splash so she is definitely enjoying the water.

Doesn't love: She doesn't love to get changed into different outfits at all. She hates not being able to control her own arms if we are trying to dress her. Haha and she does not like the taste of green beans. I had to mix pears in to make them a little sweeter.

What I want to remember: I want to remember how she learned how to sit up on her own at 20 weeks. And loves it! I also want to remember how she just noticed her hands and learned how to wave! Right at 6 months. Cutest thing ever. And I also want to remember how easy going she is. She is such a great baby.. We definitely got lucky. My princess baby girl. I love you so much!

-At 20 weeks, she learned how to sit up on her own.
-At 24 weeks, she learned how to wave.. cutest thing ever!

-small formula dispenser
-1 spoon
-2 baby food jars
-1 extra pajama set

We also took her stroller, or you can rent them there if you want too for $15 a day.

Sophia's first Disneyland trip was a huge success!
She loved going on most rides and getting to meet the characters.
Even though she cried meeting Mickey Mouse hahaha.

Mommy and daddy had a blast as well, churros,
ice cream sandwiches is where it's at!

We thought Sophia would be too young to even have fun,
but at almost 6 months, she had a blast!
We will definitely be buying season passes!

Finding Out I Was Pregnant

I can't believe it's been a year since my life completely changed forever.
A whole year since I found out I was possibly pregnant.

I will always remember that day very vividly.
And I wanted to relive that by telling you how it went down..

C and I started "trying" in January.
Now, I say "trying" because we weren't actually trying to stress ourselves
out every month hoping I got pregnant..

We were just letting it happen.
And since I was told it could take me a few years due to "ovulating every other month",
we thought it would take a while. At leasssst a year.. Ha! WAY wrong.
I hadn't had my period for 3 months..
And thought absolutely nothing about it because it was normal for me.

Finally, one morning (half asleep), I decided to take a test..
And RIGHT AWAY, without having to wait the whole 3 dreading minutes,
two pink lines appeared.
-First off, sorry for the crappy pictures. These were from my old cell phone lol-

And my heart sank. It was almost like I didn't know how to react..
I jumped for joy, I cried, laughed, cried, jumped for joy again.
Yes, all in that order.

Called my sister and best friend which both were extremely happy for me.
Husband was working that day. All day actually.
So the big announcement had to wait.
And I had some time to figure out how to tell him.

I bought two outfits. One for a boy, one for a girl.
Put the outfits in a basket and wrote a cute little sign
"Today marks the beginning of a new journey, together as a family of 3."

I added the pregnancy test to the basket (because I took more than 1 of course-I was shocked) and waited till he got home.
He was surprised and speechless. More speechless than anything though.

Honestly, he didn't know how to react.. Because we didn't think
I was gonna get pregnant that month!

From then on out, everything changed.. And we were so ecstatic!
We were gonna be parents!!
And our family of two, was becoming a family of 3.

Here are the 3 pregnancy test I took because I was in denial. haha

If only I would of recorded his reaction… Maybe for baby #2. haha

Mother's Day was just two weeks later. And we wanted to
go to our appt first before announcing to our moms.
longest two weeks of my life..

So we took our moms to lunch.
We got them each a card and the way the card was made,
made it easy for us to say we were expecting. I tried recording their
Once again, sorry the quality of the video is crap. I tried so hard to record and act nonchalant
about the card.. lol..

I get chills watching this video… makes me so happy.
