Three Months With Sophia

Happy 3 Months Sophia!

Our little momma just grows and grows everyday. It's crazy to see how much bigger she gets as the weeks and months go by. Call me crazy, but I want my baby to stay little forever! I want her to always be my little baby girl.. Wait, what am I saying?! She will ALWAYS be my little baby girl.

Weight: I haven't been able to get Sophia's weight lately. But I'm guessing she has got to be somewhere around 11-12 lbs! Ah my baby is getting so big. Love her to pieces!
Sleep: Her sleep schedule is still about the same. She gets up every 3-4 hours. Im looking forward to the 5+ hours though.. This momma is tired to say the least.. We started putting her in her crib at night. We lay her down when she is passed out, but we are trying to get her to lay down while she is drowsy and for some reason thats not working for us..... Right around 5-6am I bring her into our bed, only because the sun is starting to rise, and I still want her to sleep in an extra 3 hours. Mommy and daddy love their sleep. Still wakes up as happy as can be.
Eating: Her eating is fluctuating between 2-3 ounces.. Depending on how much I give her off my breast. Sometimes I give her more and other times I give her a little. I'm looking forward to the non supplementing of formula days. :)
Diapers: She is still in size 1 diapers… And since we are running out, we decide to put her in size 2. We got a TON of size 2 diapers at our baby shower..
Clothing: She is still wearing a size 0-3/3month and I finally washed her 3-6month. The 3-6 month fit her slightly loose, but comfortable. She is growing up to fast.
Mood: She is very happy still. Especially in the mornings. Very happy and content with life. :) I guess you can say we're doing a great job so far as parents.
Loves: Loves being walked around at home. Looking at all the different rooms we have and all the pictures on our walls. She just started watching the Noggin channel on youtube. Sad its not on tv anymore, but youtube came to the rescue! She also loves to go for walks with me in her stroller. She loves to sit up and observe. Very alert.
Doesn't love: She doesn't love being bored. Haha. She is her fathers daughter that's for sure.
What I want to remember: i want to remember how she loves to sit up. How she smiles at us whenever we talk to her. Especially when we make the farting sound.. I want to remember how she loves the mornings. How she loves going out for walks and being carried. She loves cuddling and holding our fingers while she sleeps. She loves to look at herself in the mirror. How she found her hands and loves to suck on her hand for comfort.

Hospital Bag::

Hospital Bag Checklist
The Quick & Easy

Getting ready for the hospital was probably the most exciting and frustrating thing I had to do. It was my first delivery, so I had NO idea what to expect.. I found many hospital bag checklist, but all seemed to be overwhelming. So I just tried to picture myself those few days.. And packed things for "just in case" occasions. I ended up packing two bags. One big duffle bag for me and the hubby, and my diaper bag with just Sophia's stuff.

I wasn't planning on having a cesarean, I had my heart set on a vaginal delivery.. Thankfully, I packed for a cesarean just in case… And that case unfortunately turned out to be true. You can read my birth story here. Some said to take pads, and diapers, wipes, etc.. I took all of that, and didn't use it at all. The nurses were so sweet and gave us extra diapers and wipes and pads. They supply everything! So don't be afraid to ask for more to take home.. Bake the nurses something delicious and I can promise you, they will give you extra food, extra diapers, extra everything! I loved it.

I had a list of what I actually took, and what I could of done without.
I then modified my originally list after the hospital. So now I have a handy dandy "master list" for the next time. ;) Here is the Master list for you to have and I hope it's helpful!

Two Months With Sophia

Happy Months Sophia!!

Having Sophia was the best thing that has ever happened to us. Hands down. All though some nights are much tougher than others, its like we forget about it right away that very next morning… sometimes. :) She loves to hold her head up for more than 30 seconds at a time, and is already smiling right back at us! Always wakes with a smile for mommy and daddy. The cutest thing.

first smile
We can't believe how fast she is growing.. Two months already! Time needs to drastically slow down.. I never saw my life this way, I knew I always wanted children (a lot for that matter), but I never knew how tough and tiring it would be.. People always tell you "get your rest while you can!" or "once you have kids your life is "over"" or "you will never have time for yourself, baby comes first!".

But I never actually listened to those distinct words.. I always just thought "ya ya whatever I just want babies!" But I have to admit. all though what people said was true, I absolutely love it. I love my sleepness nights, I love putting her before me, I love taking care of my princess before anything else. I guess you can say I've become a little over protective of this little human, and I absolutely am head over heels in LOVE with her.

Weight: 10lbs 6oz
Sleep: She tricked us one night by sleeping a whole 8 hours but it was just ONE night… she still gets up every 3-4 hours to eat.
Eating: Still nursing and supplementing with formula.
Diapers: Sophia is now in a size 2 diaper. We change her about 8-10 times a day..
Clothing: We put her into size 0-3 months. They fit her a tiny bit big at first, but now they fit her perfectly.
Mood: She is a happy baby now that we changed her formula to Gentlease. She is less gassy and fussy.
Loves: She loves to look at black shapes and objects on our walls. Her room has black triangles right next to her crib so she loves staring at them..
Doesn't love: Sophia doesn't love to do tummy time and I think it was because her belly hurt at times from all the gas, thankfully she is easing up to them now.
What I want to remember: I want to remember how little and fragile she was. How she is starting to hold her little head up on her own, and how she loves to smile back at us whenever we talk to her. I also want to remember how she loves her mornings. Always a happy baby and loves being carried. My precious baby girl. I've never loved someone so much in my entire life.

•Enjoys her baths now
•Two month check up called for lots of cuddles, naps and tears.
•Loves to fart.
•Pooping every other day making outings easier so we aren't out when she does the deed.
•Struggling with milk supply.
•Daddy always singing the muffin man to her.
•Loving to cuddle up in bed with us.
•Hearing her burp after every feeding makes me SO happy.
•Stairs at black shapes on the walls.
•Starting to do tummy time.

We love you baby girl!
